The Western Region colleges (Conestoga, Fanshawe, Lambton, Mohawk, Niagara and St. Clair College), would like to invite grade 11 students to its annual Spring Pathways Panel Tour.
They are planning to host a session for the Niagara Region on April 29th at 4pm. Students or parents are welcome to attend.
The Western Region colleges are looking to help parents and students learn about college pathways (certificates to diplomas to degrees).
The pathway panels are scheduled for 60 minutes, and include:
- A 5-minute overview of Ontario Colleges (general overview including benefits, admission requirements, to application process).
- Each college will then give a 4-5-minute overview about their college highlighting some pathways including everything from certificates to diplomas to degrees.
- This will be followed by a 15-20-minute Question and Answer period, where students can ask questions to the group as a whole or to individual college representatives.
- This presentation is targeted to students in grade 11, with the hopes of planting seeds for college choices for next year
