Where and When?
Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 6:00 p.m.
What time should I arrive on Grad Night?
You need to be at the school no later than 5:30 p.m. Go to the to Theatre to dress in your grad gown.
How do I know where to go, what to do, and who to listen to?
We will have a rehearsal on Tuesday June 25th at 11 a.m. so you will know where to go and who to listen to.
How many guests can I bring?
Every student receives an invitation with 3 guest tickets provided they have completed the 40 hours of community service, achieved the Ontario Literacy requirement, and are on track to have 30 credits by June 29th. Students without those requirements met are not eligible for graduation and their invites and tickets cannot be released until all requirements are satisfied.
Students are expected to have paid a graduation fee. The fee covers the rental of the graduation gown, a souvenir tassel, hat, and graduation program, the printing of transcripts, and the reception hosted in the cafeteria after the ceremony.
I have more than 3 people who want to come to the ceremony. Can I get more tickets?
Yes. You can request more tickets starting the first week in June. Potential Graduates can see Mrs. Maxemuck to request additional tickets.
What are the Astra Awards?
Each year the graduating class nominates and votes for 5 students who best represent this class. Nominations will be done in late May. Voting for Astra Awards will take place at the Grad Breakfast in May.
Who will speak to the graduating class this year? Who can best capture your memories and your hopes for the future? The Graduating Class nominates and votes for its Valedictorian. Voting for the Valedictorian will take place at the Grad Breakfast in May.
