Three World War II Veterans visit PCHS

Mr. Summersides to be honoured by President Obama on Feb. 3rd
Grade 10 Canadian History students welcomed three WW II veterans. Mr. Gillap, Mr Feduck and Mr. Summersides retold stories and gave life lessons to PCHS students. Students were very engaged and asked many questions. Mr. Gillap fought in Italy . Mr. Feduck was in France and played an important role in the D-Day Invasion on Juno Beach in June of 1944. The stories of all the men inspired the young listeners. Mr. Summerside was a part of a combined Canadian and American effort. He will be hounoured for his services by President Obama on February 3rd, 2015. He will receive the highest citizen award from the president.
