See Ms. Converset to get involved
The Port High Dramatic Society is one of the most exciting creative communities in our school. Every year, our actors, tech crews, designers, and backstage teams come together to build a full theatrical production from the ground up. It’s a chance for students to dive into acting, stagecraft, directing, set building, and all the behind‑the‑scenes magic that brings a show to life. The experience is hands‑on, collaborative, and a highlight of the school year.
We joined the Cappies review program in 2023 with The Places You’ll Go, and since then our productions — including Alice and Frankenstein — have earned multiple awards for acting, choreography, and original writing.
What makes the annual play truly special is how many parts of the school come together to make it happen. Construction and Visual Arts help build and design the sets, Communications Technology creates advertising and digital media, and Cosmetology brings characters to life with hair and makeup.
This year’s show, New Norm, will hit the stage during the week of February 23–27, 2026
