Looking for scholarships and awards
There is money to be found to help you reach your post secondary goals, whether it be to purchase tools, footwear, pay tuition etc.,
but you must do the research. Scholarships are not just based on marks. Many are for students who are in financial need or for students who have demonstrated leadership, active community or school involvement and or have a special circumstance.

Finally, check the website of the college / university you will be attending for their scholarships / bursaries.
Port Colborne High School has a number of scholarship and awards that are given out at graduation. Many of the awards are listed on the DSBN website. The school's Students' Awards Committee selects recipients based on the eligibility of individual students and the criteria of the award. There are annual awards to which students must submit an application: The Chad Simon Memorial, and The Forever Young Memorial Scholarship, . Applications are available in May. Please review the criteria for eligibility.
