Port Colborne High School was proud to honour Alicia McIntyre at this year's Excellence in Education Banquet held on May 16 at the Doubletree Fallsview Resort in Niagara Falls. With great determination, Alicia received her award and earned the admiration of all in attendance. Alicia has been a leader at PCHS for four years achieving academic excellence and demonstrating her leadership skills. She excels in all areas of academics and has won gold at the DSBN French public speaking contest for five consecutive years. Tirelessly, Alicia has devoted her time to her school and community. She assists students in the elementary French immersion program, volunteers for Port Cares, performs in the percussion group, serves on Students' Council and was selected as the student representative to attend the Accommodation Review Committee meetings. Alicia will be pursuing her dream of working in the Department of Foreign Affairs, by attending the University of Ottawa's International Studies and Modern Languages program. Without a doubt, Alicia exemplifies excellence in all aspects of education. It is impossible to imagination an individual more worthy of this prestigious award.
